Ordering and Shipping Reproductive Resources is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM (central time) to take your orders. Patients who wish to order the samples directly from us rather than through their physician must prepay for the order prior to shipment. We accept money order, check, Visa, Discover and MasterCard. If a laboratory, clinic, or physician’s office places the order, we can set up an account with them for shipment and bill within 15 days. We ship cryopreserved semen in liquid nitrogen dewars to laboratories, clinics, and physician’s offices. If you wish to do an at-home insemination, you may pick up the vials from the laboratory, clinic, or physician’s office. Dry ice and a styrofoam box for transport work well for keeping the specimen frozen until you reach home. Insemination must be performed within 20 minutes after the specimen is thawed. Procedures for thawing and handling cryopreserved semen are included with each shipment. Pre-washed samples for intrauterine insemination are available on selected donors. Shipments are generally prepaid roundtrip. We ship specimens via Federal Express. It is less expensive to ship using standard two-day service rather than priority overnight. We ask that you place your order at least four business days prior to the day the samples are needed so that we can provide the best service at the most reasonable prices. |
